Early Impressionist painter Frederic Bazille

Frederic Bazille studied Gleyre’s studio in 1862 and made the acquaintance of Monet, Renoir, and Sisley. He helped in the development of the Impressionist movement. Bazille painted mostly figures, but depicted them in outdoor settings. Bazille died while serving in the Franco-Prussian War.
